made by playing the downside
every month when the market

We are in a volatile year for the stock market. Now that Obama has won the
presidency, a lot of the market uncertainty has been settled. However, we are
still in the midst of an economic downturn that may not improve anytime soon.
We probably won't have a bull market trend until well into 2009.
So, how can we make money in the meantime? If you are looking for security,
and you can ignore price fluctuations, Blackrock Debt Securities (DSU) or
Frontline (FRO) would work for 10% or more returns. I have been following
them for years, and the dividend is stable. Frontline is also the world's largest
oil tanker company.
Another fairly safe area involves oil and refining stocks. These are only short
term investments, though. For example, you could buy the United States Oil
Fund ETF (USO) whenever it dips, and you could sell it when it advances five
of six dollars. Conoco Phillips (COP) is a buy at 73 or lower, and you could sell
it when it gets close to 95 dollars per share.
